Strong performances from both M1 4+ and M2 4+, finishing second in their respective divisions by around 5s each. W1 8+ also performed well to finish 4th. Overall, a very promising start to what will hopefully be another successful year.

M2: bumped Girton 2 on first post corner. Now +3 W1: rowed over behind Homerton. Still -1 M1: Overlap on Selwyn when they bumped Homerton on the reach. Awarded technical rowover – couldn’t get past. Still +1

M2: bumped Queens 3 before the Motorway Bridge. Now +2 W1: bumped by Homerton on the way out of Grassy. Now -1 M1: rowed over. Overlap on Selwyn from the top of the reach all the way to the finish. Shame they’ve had to shorten the finish by 300m this year.

Results in order of racing: M2: Bumped Emma III on the way out of First Post corner. W1: Rowed-over behind Newnham II. M1: Bumped Trinity Hall on the exit of Ditton. So a solid +2 for the day.
